Beth Logan and Jeffrey Silveira made a generous gift of $300,000 to support the Melanie Rosay Fund for Metastatic Breast Cancer Research, which accelerates innovative investigations led by Rinath Jeselsohn, MD, pictured. Logan and Silveira established the fund in memory of their close friend Melanie Rosay, who passed from metastatic breast cancer in 2020. They also created an online giving page and provided matching funds to inspire additional support from Melanie’s friends, family, and others with connections to metastatic breast cancer and Jeselsohn.

Together, this broad community of contributors raised more than $1 million for Jeselsohn’s research, enabling her team to bring much-needed new treatments closer to the clinic. For example, the Rosay Fund supported their recent study, published in Nature, demonstrating the promise of a novel combination endocrine therapy for metastatic estrogen receptor–positive breast cancer. Such advancements improve patients’ lives and extend Melanie’s legacy.
