The Palm Beach community generously raised more than $1.2 million to support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through this year’s Palm Beach Annual Appeal. Their ongoing support is fueling groundbreaking research and compassionate care, accelerating discoveries that move from the laboratory to the bedside. Thanks to philanthropic leaders in the Palm Beach area, advances to cutting-edge science continue to be transformed into treatments that bring hope and comfort to patients.
Dana-Farber Trustee and Chair of the 2025–2026 Palm Beach Annual Appeal Phyllis Krock knows what a difference this generosity makes. “Many of my friends and loved ones have benefited from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s continued leadership in cancer research and care,” she said. “And as a Trustee of Dana-Farber for over 25 years, I’ve witnessed the incredible difference our Palm Beach community has made for countless patients and their families.” She and her husband, Richard Krock, generously provided a matching challenge for the Palm Beach annual appeal, further inspiring Palm Beach donors to support Dana-Farber. Funds from the Palm Beach Annual Appeal provide essential unrestricted support, enabling Dana-Farber to drive early stage research, develop new treatments, and address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.

On March 11, 2026, Dana-Farber held its Annual Leadership Dinner to honor Dana-Farber Society members and those donors who contributed $10,000 or more. The intimate evening featured remarks from Benjamin L. Ebert, MD, PhD, president and CEO of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, on Dana-Farber strategic initiatives and priorities. The program was followed by dinner and conversation with local Palm Beach community leaders and Dana-Farber faculty including David Fisher, MD, Joel Katz, MD, Elizabeth (Betsy) O’Donnell, MD, Robert Mayer, MD, Robert Soiffer, MD, and Sara Tolaney, MD, MPH. Dana-Farber Trustee Judie Schlager, Beth and Eric Schlager, Amy and Robert Schlager, Joan and Mark Weinsten, and Audrey and Mark Schuster graciously co-chaired and underwrote the event. Audrey and Mark Schuster said, “We’re honored to have partnered with the Schlager and Weinsten families in hosting the leadership dinner. It’s a privilege to support a world-class research hospital, their work to educate and elevate future leaders in oncology, and the remarkable Dana-Farber team. Thank you to everyone for your generosity and support.”
The support of the Palm Beach community is being felt in New England and around the world.
