After more than a year of treatment, Jim O’Brien (pictured center back) and his family hosted a fundraising event to thank Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and his community of family and friends, for their support during his ongoing cancer journey. The special evening at the O’Brien family restaurant, Jake’s Seafood, in Hull, Mass., included dinner, drinks, and an auction, with 100% of donations benefitting Dana-Farber.

The Jake’s Seafood community responded with enthusiasm, selling out the event in just under 36 hours and blowing their original fundraising goal out of the water. Attendees were treated to a tasty evening along with a compelling speaking program on the impact of their giving.
