For the fourth consecutive season, Boston Red Sox pitcher Garrett Whitlock will serve as the Jimmy Fund Captain. He looks forward to continuing to support and attend fundraising events, visit patients, and help raise funds for cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Since 1953, the Red Sox have partnered with the Jimmy Fund in what is regarded as the longest and most unique partnership in sports. The Jimmy Fund is also a core health partner of the Red Sox Foundation.
“My wife Jordan and I are honored to continue to help raise awareness for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund as we work to lessen the burden of cancer for patients and their families,” said Whitlock. “The Red Sox and the Jimmy Fund have a historic relationship, and I look forward to playing a small role in making a big impact on supporting this incredible mission.”
