Summer 2026

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute annual Giving Day, held on Wednesday, May 20, united thousands of donors, patients, families, and supporters worldwide in Dana-Farber’s mission to defy cancer. Over $1,125,000 in contributions were made to support the breakthroughs that move Dana-Farber’s mission forward. All donations supporting Giving Day were tripled-matched to fuel groundbreaking research and compassionate care, thanks to a generous $250,000 gift from an anonymous Dana-Farber Trustee.
On Giving Day, supporters stood with patients, caregivers, scientists, and care teams—those dedicated to delivering comprehensive cancer care. Their generosity supports patients from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. Because of our community’s continued effort, patients like Maren and Julie receive personalized care throughout their journeys at Dana-Farber.
Julie said, “Dana-Farber has turned what could have been a frightening and overwhelming journey into one filled with compassion, support, and even moments of joy.” For families like Maren’s, that support makes all the difference. Maren said, “If it wasn’t for Dana-Farber, my life would be much harder.”
Together, on Giving Day and throughout the year, we’re making a lasting difference for families today and building hope for future generations.
