St. Baldrick’s Foundation awarded a $195,000 fellowship grant to Geoffrey Smith, MD, PhD, to try to identify mechanisms of immune evasion in models of osteosarcoma using next generation sequencing and cutting-edge technologies to study the response of single cells. Based on these findings, he will test novel immunotherapies to prioritize the next generation of osteosarcoma human clinical trials.
