Dana-Farber Cancer Institute celebrated its commitment to nurturing future leaders in academic medicine at the Lubin Family Foundation Scholar Award Annual Symposium, held on May 15, 2025. The event featured presentations from the 2023 and 2024 Lubin Scholar cohorts, showcasing their groundbreaking research. Nobel Laureate William G. Kaelin Jr., MD, Lubin Family Foundation Scholar Award Scientific Director, emphasized the importance of mentorship and financial support in launching successful research careers. The 2025 Lubin Scholar and Mentor cohort was announced at the symposium, highlighting the Richard K. Lubin Family Foundation and Dana-Farber’s dedication to retaining top physician-scientists. Keynote speaker Charles L. Sawyers, MD, an HHMI Investigator and leader in oncology and pathogenesis at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, inspired attendees with insights into advancing cancer research.
