After more than a decade at the helm of Philanthropy Communications at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Assistant Vice President, Joyce Gallagher is embarking on her retirement journey.

Joyce joined the Division of Philanthropy at Dana-Farber in 2014, with over 35 years of communications and development experience—and a heart for the Dana-Farber mission. During her time here, she has led the Impact team, as well as the media relations and creative content teams. Joyce has seen us through more than 50 issues of Impact and its redesign, the Dana-Farber Campaign, the I Am Jimmy campaign, and countless Dana-Farber and Jimmy Fund features in the media. As a result, Dana-Farber has won numerous awards, including a 2025 AAMC Gold Award in Publications for Impact, and an international 2025 Gold Telly for a stellar Dana-Farber Campaign Close Video. In retirement, Joyce plans to consult and spend more time with her family. We salute Joyce for making a lasting impact and wish her an enjoyable and fulfilling next chapter!
