Little Warrior Foundation has granted $100,000 to Brian Crompton, MD, to develop a CLIA/CAP-certified pediatric-specific circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) assay. This non-invasive test aims to detect pediatric-specific cancer mutations that will be helpful in monitoring treatment response and may one day allow for risk stratification at diagnosis—helping clinicians tailor treatment intensity to the aggressiveness of the disease and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
