As much as any drug or technology, whole blood and platelets are lifesaving resources for cancer patients. The Kraft Family Blood Donor Center celebrates the compassionate individuals who give so generously at the center’s annual Breakfast of Champions. Sunday, Apr. 6 marked the 41st anniversary of the Kraft Family Blood Donor Center. Institute Trustee Dan Kraft welcomed 225 whole blood and platelet donors and guests to Gillette Stadium to celebrate 5,053 units of platelets, 7,516 units of whole blood, and 480 stem cell products they donated in the prior year. The donations made a powerful difference in the lives of 14,317 patients and their families.
