Boston Red Sox pitcher Garrett Whitlock has been named the Jimmy Fund Captain for his third consecutive season. The Red Sox have partnered with the Jimmy Fund since 1953—the longest and most unique partnership in sports. As Jimmy Fund Captain, Whitlock will continue this tradition, attending fundraising events, visiting patients, increasing support, and raising funds for cancer care and research at Dana-Farber.
“I am excited to serve as the Jimmy Fund Captain to continue building on the strong foundation and connection we’ve grown over the past two years,” said Whitlock. “It’s an honor for my wife, Jordan, and me to help raise awareness for Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund as we work to eradicate cancer.”
