The Palm Beach community once again demonstrated remarkable generosity by raising over $1.31 million to support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through their Palm Beach Annual appeal. These contributions are vital for advancing innovative research and comprehensive patient care at Dana-Farber and around the world.
Funds from the appeal provide essential unrestricted support, enabling Dana-Farber to drive early stage research, develop new treatments, and address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
Charlie Dana, this year’s appeal ambassador, honors the legacy of his grandfather, Charles A. Dana, whose partnership with Sidney Farber, MD, laid the groundwork for the world-class Institute that Dana-Farber is today. As a member of Dana-Farber’s Board of Trustees and a patient himself, Charlie understands the value of this support. “I am inspired by our community’s commitment to providing the critical funding needed to support Dana-Farber’s mission,” he said. “As someone benefiting from this care firsthand, I am proud to know we have a hand in driving this progress forward.”
For more than three decades, Palm Beach supporters have helped Dana-Farber make significant strides toward a future free of the burden of cancer, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients everywhere. Their dedication and generosity are invaluable to Dana-Farber’s ongoing success and innovation.
