Summer 2025

When he wasn’t working alongside his father at John’s Service Station in Malden, Mass., John T. DiLiegro Jr. could be found working out at the gym. Well-known and well-loved by family and in the community, DiLiegro passed away from glioblastoma, a highly aggressive and common brain tumor, in 2022 at age 49.
In his memory, his sister Karen DiLiegro formed the John T. Foundation and raised funds to support research by David Reardon, MD, clinical director of the Center for Neuro-Oncology and the Alperin Family Chair at Dana-Farber. Their gifts have been recognized with a plaque in John’s name.
