For more than two decades, HomeGoods has fostered hope and healing for families facing cancer, raising critical funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Through HomeGoods’ Find Home Anywhere mission—funded largely by donations from its generous shoppers—HomeGoods and the TJX Foundation have made a three-year commitment to donate at least $3.6 million to Dana-Farber. This support will help fund key initiatives at the Institute, including the Center for Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology, the Patient Assistance Program, and the Pediatric Resource Program. HomeGoods’ Find Home Anywhere initiative is committed to helping people find a sense of home wherever life takes them.
The center is dedicated to improving outcomes and quality of life for adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients, a demographic facing unique challenges in cancer treatment and survivorship. Under the guidance of co-medical directors Lindsay Frazier, MD, and Ann LaCasce, MD, MMSc, HomeGoods support helps fund research and care specific to AYA patients, addressing medical and psychosocial needs. Efforts include supporting the HomeGoods Young Adult Lounge at Dana-Farber, which opened in 2024. The bright design, welcoming space, and thoughtful construction were developed in collaboration with Dana-Farber faculty, HomeGoods leadership, and patient focus groups. Custom programs include support groups, targeted therapies, décor refreshes, and space makeovers for patients.
The three-year commitment also supports the HomeGoods Adult Housing Assistance Fund, a patient assistance program overseen by Deborah Toffler, MSW, LCSW, senior director of Patient Care Services at Dana-Farber. The fund provides financial aid to adults undergoing treatment, helping to cover expenses like rent and mortgage payments, so patients can focus on care and well-being without the stress of housing instability. Similarly, the HomeGoods Pediatric Housing Assistance Program, led by Pediatric Resource Program Director Joe Chabot, MS, offers financial support to pediatric patients, alleviating housing expenses and aiding families needing temporary lodging or facing relocation costs.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Dana-Farber and HomeGoods partnership, through which HomeGoods has helped impact research and care profoundly.
“We are proud of the close collaboration with Dana-Farber over the past 25 years and are grateful to lend a hand in a uniquely HomeGoods way through Find Home Anywhere, helping patients and families feel comforted, welcome, and at home. We’ve accomplished a lot together and are excited for more to come this year and beyond,” said Victoria Shonkoff, senior vice president and marketing director, HomeGoods and Homesense.
