The Friends of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute hosted a variety of events throughout 2024 that raised more than $600,000 for lifesaving cancer research and patient care.
They kicked off the year with Friends Cure Cabin Fever in February at PKL Boston, where more than 100 guests joined the Friends for fun, philanthropy, food, and pickleball.

Evening with Friends in May attracted 150 guests for a discussion of how Dana-Farber’s dedication to discoveries in cancer research impacts our delivery of compassionate, patient-centered care, as well as an elegant dinner and live auction at the venerated Ritz-Carlton, Boston.

And at September’s In the Bag Luncheon, Friends enjoyed a curated silent auction of vintage designer handbags and a thoughtful program focused on the latest in cancer research at Dana-Farber, the increase in different types of cancer diagnoses among younger patients, and prevention and early detection of cancer.
Founded in 1976, the Friends of Dana-Farber have raised more than $59 million to fund powerful cancer research and patient care programs at the Institute. Their mission is twofold: raising funds, and providing services that enhance Dana-Farber’s healing environment, including gift bags for patients undergoing treatment, administration of our world-class art collection, non-denominational spiritual health programs, and programs to brighten the holidays for patients and families.
