The Meghan McCarthy Research Fund celebrated a major milestone at Dana-Farber in June, surpassing $1 million in funding to support glioblastoma research. The achievement was particularly bolstered in the past year with contributions from the longstanding Pan-Mass Challenge team The Flying Henrys and the Meghan McCarthy Fashion Show at Tewksbury High School, held since 2009.

Meghan McCarthy was a Tewksbury Memorial High School senior active in basketball, soccer, and track and field, whose fundraising in the Jimmy Fund’s Rally Against Cancer inspired countless others to donate before she passed in 2010. Her incredible journey with glioblastoma led the Lowell Sun to name her one of its Most Fascinating People of 2008.
