An official ribbon-cutting ceremony in May celebrated the establishment of the new HomeGoods Young Adult Lounge, a comfortable space to relax and access resources before and after treatments. This special space for adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients provides a more age-appropriate setting for this unique patient population to build relationships with others in their age group. HomeGoods and the TJX Foundation made a $3.6 million gift to Dana-Farber to create the new lounge, with donations from generous shoppers. The gift also supports the HomeGoods Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Research Fund, and the Pediatric Patient Assistance Program through HomeGoods Housing Grants.
