With a grant of $150,000, Curing Kids Cancer is funding a study into a new combination therapy for treating a form of childhood leukemia caused by a mutation in the KMT2A gene. Previous research at Dana-Farber identified a protein that drives growth of this specific type of leukemia, and researchers are now testing the efficacy of a protein inhibitor in treating it.
