Whole blood and platelet donors were the stars at Gillette Stadium on April 7 for the annual Kraft Family Blood Donor Center Breakfast of Champions. This year’s event was hosted in Gillette Stadium’s newest event space, the G-P Atrium, and marked the 40th anniversary of the Kraft Center. Institute Trustee Dan Kraft congratulated guests for their outstanding contributions, and Institute President and CEO Laurie H. Glimcher, MD, thanked donors for the lifesaving difference they made, a message underscored by Ken Anderson, MD, program director for the Jerome Lipper Multiple Myeloma Center at Dana-Farber and the Kraft Family Professor of Medicine. A panel discussion with a longtime Kraft Center donor and a Dana-Farber patient was hosted by WBZ sports reporter Steve Burton, whose father was both a former Patriots player and a patient of Anderson’s.
