With a grant of $100,000 from the American Brain Tumor Association, Jun Nishida, PhD, is studying the drivers of brain metastases in breast cancer. By researching how varying nutrient levels in different parts of the brain select cancer cells, the team hopes to identify new therapeutic targets in order to improve treatment options for patients.
