The annual Awards and Milestones Reception recognized participants of the 2023 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai who went above and beyond. This includes Zach Galvin and his team Zach’s Pack (pictured), who received a Lifetime Achievement Award for surpassing $1 million in fundraising as a team. Galvin (pictured center in yellow hat) also received an award for surpassing an incredible $500,000 raised as an individual.
Also honored at the ceremony were First-Time Walker of the Year Kathleen Dunn; First-Time Team Captain of the Year Alynne Johnson; Alumni Walker of the Year Colleen Sullivan; Alumni Team Captain of the Year Mark Leahy; Volunteer of the Year Middleboro High School; and Extra Mile Award winner Amy Killeen. Lifetime Achievement Awards were also presented to Arnold Kraft and David Thau for both surpassing $250,000 in fundraising, and Team Lung Cancer for surpassing $500,000. Top Dana-Farber Employee Teams and Top Corporate Teams were also recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in 2023.
