Sergio and Magda Brosio gave $100,000 to support the Center for Esophageal and Gastric Cancer’s biobank, with the hope that their gift inspires others. Motivated by their gratitude for Sergio’s physicians—Robert J. Mayer, MD; Scott J. Swanson, MD; and Harvey Mamon, MD, PhD—their philanthropy will expand tissue sample collection, which fuels clinical trials and other critical research to improve patient care.
