The Muscular Dystrophy Association has awarded a $300,000 grant to support research led by Pere Puigserver, PhD, at Dana-Farber, addressing the absence of effective treatments for mitochondrial myopathies. The study will investigate the efficacy of tetracyclines, a class of antibiotics, as another method to treat these diseases.
