We all scream for all-you-can-eat ice cream! Ice cream lovers of all ages were invited to Patriot Place in Foxborough, Mass., to celebrate the 40th annual Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl® presented by Valvoline Instant Oil ChangeSM and the return of Scoop at Night, a 21+ ice cream happy hour, on June 2–3. The unpredictable New England weather could not stop the dedicated Jimmy Fund community of event attendees, sponsors, and volunteers from kicking off the summer in the sweetest way possible and bringing the event’s cumulative funds raised to $7.3 million this year.
Patriot Place Director of Marketing Diana Griffin, representing the Kraft Group, was joined by Dana-Farber Chief Philanthropy Officer Melany Duval and Valvoline representatives Speedy the Dog and Elizza Bagaindoc to dish out the first scoops and kick off the two-day celebration full of sweet treats, live entertainment, and fun.
Sweet treats were provided from partners Alec’s Ice Cream,TM Ben & Jerry’s,® Bliss,TM Edy’s,® Friendly’s,® Häagen-Dazs,® Holy Cow Ice Cream Cafe, HP Hood,® Lactaid,® Rita’s Italian Ice and Frozen Custard, and Sweet Tree Creamery.® Beer and wine for Scoop at Night were generously provided by Quality Beverage LP. Every scoop directly supported The Dana-Farber Campaign, which continues to provide patients and families with hope for a future full of ice cream and free of cancer.
