The 19th Annual Bell & Hudson Putt-a-Thon for the Jimmy Fund celebrated a major milestone in surpassing $1 million raised since its inception.
It all started in 2005, when a group of employees from Bell & Hudson Insurance Agency came together to help those in their community affected by cancer. Held on the town common of Belchertown, Mass., the mini golf tournament now draws hundreds of people of all ages and has become a beloved event for the community.
“Almost 20 years later, we’ve raised more than $1 million for the Jimmy Fund,” said tournament director Jim Phaneuf. “This milestone was only possible due to the absolute dedication of a small team of volunteers, and the hundreds of mini golfers and donors who have opened up their wallets and hearts year after year.”
