Thirty years ago, 16 golfers in the first Rybacki Memorial Golf Tournament raised $1,200 for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In 2022, 150 golfers raised more than $145,000 and pushed the tournament’s lifetime total past the incredible milestone of $1 million. Larry Rybacki and his wife, Chris, started the tournament in memory of his father, Ernest Rybacki, who died unexpectedly at the age of 66. Since then, the Rybacki Memorial has raised funds to advance research in many types of cancer—with this year’s 30th annual tournament on Sept. 8 supporting brain cancer research. “Dana-Farber has impacted the lives of so many, we are proud to support their world-leading cancer research and clinical programs,” Rybacki said.
