Advancing equity tops agenda at Women’s Leadership Breakfast

More than 220 business and community leaders attended the Women’s Leadership Breakfast hosted by the Executive Council of the Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers on May 11. The breakfast focused on the Institute’s progress in advancing equity in breast and gynecologic cancer care, and raised nearly $300,000 for the Smith Center.

Massachusetts Secretary of Health and Human Services Kate Walsh spoke on the obligation to eliminate inequities in cancer care access and outcomes—particularly by addressing the systemic racism that has been at the root of these disparities.
