The Dana-Farber Campaign is an ambitious, multi-year fundraising effort to change the future of cancer research and care—the largest in the Institute’s history and one of the largest ever in the U.S. focused solely on cancer. Our community of support is crucial to this effort.
Developing next-generation cancer drugs is a top priority of The Dana-Farber Campaign. Dana-Farber is a global leader in drug discovery, playing a critical role in the development of more than half of all cancer drugs approved by the FDA in the past 5 years. Yet many cancer-causing proteins are not susceptible to drugs designed in the usual way and have been labeled as “undruggable”—a characterization we simply do not accept. With campaign support, we will engineer completely new classes of medicines that block cancer-promoting proteins in novel ways, delivering more next-generation drugs for adults and children with rare, difficult-to-treat, or recurrent cancers.
